My name is Ruben and I’m a Professional Photographer based in Fort Worth, TX, and previously in Los Angeles, CA 2019-2020. I aspire to create the art I believe the world deserves to see while expressing passion through my own work. My love for the art stemmed from another interest, and that was skateboarding. Seeing Thrasher Magazine covers and knowing I was never going to be the one skating in the photo, I figured behind the camera was my place. Knowing where I started as to now, I’m aware it was the best decision of my life. I now enjoy taking photos of what I desire rather than the status quo. I’m an Independent Photographer and am always available for booking!
My journey of Graphic Design. Around the young age of 12-14 years old, I began playing Call of Duty with friends, and from that came the community with it. Within the community, there were many Graphic Artists, Video Editors, and Players, and most joined “teams.” I began seeing other kids my age making amazing artwork for YouTube and Twitter backgrounds and 3D Animated intros, from this I searched many YouTube tutorials learning applications such as Photoshop, Cinema 4D, After Effects, Sony Vegas, and Premiere Pro.
I had a general workflow with creating 3D renders in Cinema 4D and transferred to Photoshop where I blended the model and added more effects. Present day, I am now an Animation Student at Los Angeles Film School with a concentration in Character and Environment Design. My primary applications now used are ZBrush, Maya, Substance Painter, and Photoshop. Currently focusing on building my personal portfolio along with commissions.
